List of some of the Activities and Experiments to be used for Lessons

Hydraulic Catapult-

Students will be given an hour to build a hydraulic system-based catapult and land the balls into the baskets (with guidance)

The objective is to use what they have learned in order to score the most points. The

winning team receives a prize

Convection Experiment-

Students will observe and analyze the various effect heat has on food colouring in water.

Students will replicate the atmosphere and convection heating to display the relationship between convection and air mass movement

Boat Challenge-

Students will be expected to create a Boat/Raft out of a variety of materials that

will be presented to each group.

Each group will have 1 hour and will compete at the end to see which boat can bear the most weight.

A Jar's Global Warming-

Students will use jars to create a atmosphere that replicates Earth's

Students will analyze and compare the rising heat in a jar containing CO2 vs jars with controlled heat.
